Who I work with
I work with individuals, couples and families who are struggling with critical issues in their lives. They want help to develop their own personal skills and resources and sometimes, when the issues involve conflict, they need a trusted third party who can take them through a mediation procedure to help them resolve their differences.
You may think you are too young or too old to change but the ages of the people who use my psychological and psychotherapy services range from 20 to 70 and I currently have clients both younger and older.
Do any of these situations seem familiar?
- Your life has entered stormy seas and you feel as if you are falling apart. Safety and security seem a long way off.
- You are living with someone whose life is taking a buffeting and you are caught in the ground swell. You are not sure how to handle the situation and would welcome the chance to talk it over with an objective trusted adviser who has navigated and weathered these sorts of situations before.
- Depression has visited you or a member of your family and you sometimes feel as if your life is enveloped in a grey fog with no exit in sight.
- Your work is stressing you out.
Your current situation may look dark, gloomy and far from the place you want to be, but if you, like many of my clients, are the kind of person who is:
Willing to take responsibility for your life
Open to developing your personal resources
Ready to learn new personal coping skills
Committed to change in your thinking, your relationships and to making new priorities in your life
You do not need to struggle on alone
When you are ready for change, I can help. With an extra set of 'hands on deck', you have an ally and supporter as you identify key areas for change, set new goals, and learn the skills you need to achieve these goals.
